Hello, My Name is Emily and I'm Addicted to...Fringe

So, I don't like Star Trek, which is what I always considered the epitome of SyFy, so I never considered myself a science fiction freak. I was shocked when I admitted that I LOVE the TV show Fringe and some commented, "So, you're a syfy freak, too, huh?"  So, I guess I'll be the first to admit that if "Fringe" is syfy, then yes, I am a "syfy freak"! Being a mother of 2 I can't keep up with the current seasons, so I wait until it comes out on DVD and order it. I love to watch the whole season at one time...I don't have the patience to wait each week! With that being said...it is that time of year! I just received my season 3 today and will probably spend my weekend watching it! Yes, I am a certified dork! Now, if I could just get my husband to like it...

Introducing the Killgore's

I thought I would take time to introduce the Killgore Crew. I am Emily, 30, my daughter, Addison will be 9 next month, Allen, 30, and his son, Kade, 14 months.  We got married May 31, 2011 after meeting on match.com. He doesn't like telling anyone how we met, but I don't care, because our lives would have never crossed paths otherwise.  I am from Arkansas and moved to Louisiana in May.  We have both been through previous marriages and when I met him I knew he was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I have always wanted to start a blog, but never had the patience and time to start one, but now that I have this wonderful new life, I HAVE to share it with the world!  I have another blog, Polish Fiend, but just started it and will probably do more on blogger. I am a beginner in the world of blogging, and any tips or advice would be taken graciously:) So...game on, Blogger.

Grilled Pepperoni Sammi

 

Super easy pepperoni cheese sandwich that my daughter loves. I don't take the best food photos, but you get the jist.  The only thing I recommend is putting the pizza sauce inbetween the cheese and pepperoni or the bread gets soggy. I put the butter and some italian seasoning and melt, put the bread and proceed to cook like a grilled cheese sammie! Awesome and easy. More easy recipes to come!

Christmas Picture (im)Perfect

Here is the awesome Christmas card I had picked out from Shutterfly, but unfortunately we didn't get our pictures disk in time to order and receive them before it would have been too late.  However, in the spirit of things I decided to post it to FB and just tagged all my friends and family I was going to send the actual card to.  It wasn't exactly what I was wanting, but got lots of responses and it was FREE!  I won't do it again, but instead just get our pictures done earlier so I can order them without having to pay $60 for shipping. I LOVE Shutterfly and order all my stuff from them!! They can be a bit high, but I get coupons, plus they always have some kind of free shipping code (on regular shipping) or something listed on the website and can you can get anywhere from $10 to $80 off (depending on how much you are spending).
